Candy can be dropped off through Saturday, Oct. 26. From noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, the brewery will host a packing event and donate the candy to children at Churches United who don't often get to go out to enjoy trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Churches United said their biggest need right now is childrens' clothing, with dozens of kids in need of warm winter clothes, socks and shoes.
Lexi Ostenaa, Junkyard's events coordinator, said the business enjoys helping neighbors.
"If people are still bringing in donations, we'll just keep collecting donations until people don't want to bring them anymore. They're just down the road from us so it's not hard for us to bring all these donations to them. So we would love if people just continued to bring donations to us throughout the entire fall season," Ostenaa said.
